If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):

  • In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, assigned to the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offering more user-friendly and effective overall.
  • Use of cookies:
    a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:
  • Transient cookies (see b)
  • Persistent cookies (see c).
    b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
    c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.

Web Tracking & Google Analytics

Section 4: Use of Google Analytics

  • This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website use and internet use to the website operator.
  • The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
  • You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
  • This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in a truncated form, thus excluding direct personal identification. If the data collected about you is assigned a personal reference, this is immediately excluded, and the personal data is deleted immediately.
  • We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. Through the statistics obtained, we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Social Media

Section 5: Use of Social Media Plug-ins

  • We currently use the following social media plug-ins: Facebook, Xing, LinkedIn, Instagram. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. You can recognize the provider of the plug-in by the marking on the box above its initial letter or the logo. We offer you the opportunity to communicate directly with the plug-in provider via the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thereby activate it, will the plug-in provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online offering. In addition, the data mentioned in Section 3 of this declaration will be transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, according to the respective providers, the IP address is anonymized immediately after collection in Germany. By activating the plug-in, personal data about you is transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (with US providers, in the USA). Since the plug-in provider collects data primarily via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser’s security settings before clicking on the grayed-out box.
  • We have no influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of data collection, the purposes of processing, or the storage periods. We also have no information on the deletion of the collected data by the plug-in provider.
  • The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles, for the exercise of which you must contact the respective plug-in provider. Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users, so that we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
  • Data is transferred regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the plug-in provider, your data collected by us will be directly assigned to your existing account with the plug-in provider. If you activate the button and, for example, link the page, the plug-in provider also stores this information in your user account and publicly shares it with your contacts. We recommend that you regularly log out after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this allows you to avoid an assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider.
  • Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the privacy policies of these providers, which are communicated below. There you will also receive further information on your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy.
  • Addresses of the respective plug-in providers and URL with their data protection notices:

Google Maps

Section 6: Integration of Google Maps

  • On this website, we use the offering of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map function.
  • By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned in Section 3 of this declaration is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish for the assignment with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles, for the exercise of which you must contact Google.
  • Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider’s privacy policies. There you will also receive further information on your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
